    An important event at Kisangani recently when Congo-Kinshasa's third Court of Appeal was officially opened and the judges took their solemn oaths.

    Congo-Kinshasa's Minister of Justice, Thomas Loango, attended the ceremony.

    The opening of the country's third Appeal Court in the Oriental Province is another stage in the new structure of the legal system which is being brought into effect by President Joseph Mobutu.

    Kisangani (formerly Stanleyville) will be the venue this weekend for celebrations marking the second anniversary of the Mouvement Populaire de la Revolution (MPR) party. President Mobutu and several of his ministers are scheduled to leave Kinshasa by air tomorrow (Saturday) Visiting African Presidents to the celebrations are expected to include Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia, Milton Obote of Uganda, Francois Tomalbaye of Chad, Ismail el Azhari of Sudan, Gregoire Kayibanda of Ruanda, Etieune Eyadema of Togo and Emile Berlon Zinsou of Dahomey. Tunisia, Senegal and Burundi are also expected to send high-ranking representatives.
