Background: Dahomey's ruling three man presidential commission has made its first official visit abroad - a one day visit to neighbouring Togo on Thursday (May 14).
The Commission is M. Herbert Maga, a former President, as Head of State, and former President, M. Sourou Migan Apithy and former Premier M. Justin Ahomadegbe, who act with him.
The three leaders have all spent at least one year's exile in Togo in the past.
After meeting with President Eyadema of Togo, M. Maga said that there was a desire for closer relations between their two countries and added that their common frontier would remain open 24 hours a day.
Following recent presidential elections in Dahomey it was decided that the presidency would rotate between the three members of the commission.
