    ANGRY FORMER CONCENTRATION CAMP INMATES TODAY (SUNDAY) FOUGHT WITH GERMAN STUDENTS WHO INTERRUPTED A MINUTE'S SILENCE IN MEMORY OF DACHAU VICTIMS, BY SHOUTING ANTI-NATO AND ANTI-MILITARIST SLOGANS. ABOUT 50 LEFTWING STUDENTS INVADED THE UNVEILING CEREMONY OF A MEMORIAL TO THE DEAD OF THE FORMER NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP.

    THE STUDENTS STARTED SHOUTING "HO HO HO CHI MINH" AND OTHER SLOGANS WHILE PARTICIPANTS IN THE CEREMONY WERE OBSERVING A MINUTE'S SILENCE IN MEMORY OF THE DEAD. THE STUDENTS' BANNERS WERE TORN FROM THEIR HANDS, AND SEVERAL WERE BEATEN BY ELDERLY EX-PRISONERS BEFORE BEING DRAGGED BY ORDERLIES OFT THE PARADE GROUND.

    SOME 5,000 PEOPLE, INCLUDING HUNDREDS OF ??? RESISTANCE FIGHTERS FROM ALL OVER WESTERN EUROPE, ATTENDED THE UNVEILING OF A GAUNT, 48-FOOT (17 METRES) BRONZE SCULPTURE DEPICTING STARVED AND TORTURED FIGURES CAUGHT ON BARBED WIRE. THE PARENTS OF THE SCULPTOR YUGOSLAV GLID NANDOR DIED IN AUSCHWITZ CAMP, AND HIS BROTHER WAS AMONG MORE THAN 30,000 MEN AND WOMEN EXTERMINATED AT DACHAU.

    ENVOYS OF MOST WEST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WHICH FOUGHT THE NAZIS, PLUS UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR HENRY CABOT LODGE, WERE PRESENT FOR THE CEREMONY.
