For the 13 ministers agreement was major triumph as OPEC president Abdul Aziz Bin Khalifa Al-Thani explained at Tuesday's meeting:
SKEIKH AL THANI: "To all voices here co-operation has resulted in our retaining to a single price system. I believe that such a result marks the unquestionable solidarity of our organisation and proves that the new OPEC is capable of shouldering its responsibility towards its members of the whole world in the most rational and sensible manner. I am quite confident that our future will be conducted in the same spirit of unity and co-operation. I would like to express the heartiest gratitude on behalf of all of us for the warm reception and excellent hospitality extended to us by the friendly government and the great people of Sweden. I am confident that such a welcome, coupled with excellent arrangements, and such a beautiful surrounding will contribute towards a successful preparation of our meeting. Thank you."
