  • Description

Twenty-eight delegates representing Communist Parties in 15 Western European countries are meeting in London this week to discuss the growth of international companies in their countries.

The conference is being held at the New Ambassador's Hotel. The purpose of the meeting is to allow members of the various Communist Parties to exchange views on the growth of multinational companies, the consequences of this development to the working-class movement, and the strategy they should adopt to meet it.

The three-day conference began today (Monday) with delegates reading their prepared statements. These are to be followed by discussions and resolutions. One thing the delegates have yet to decide is whether any communique will be issued at the end of their deliberations.
