    DURING THE MOPPING UP PATROLS, CONDUCTED BY POLICE AND TROOPS, THE BODIES OF MANY PAKISTANIS ARE REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN RECOVERED. THE MEN WERE SAID TO HAVE BEEN KILLED DURING FIGHTING LAST WEEK.

    MEANWHILE, THE LATEST NEWS OF THE FIGHTING TODAY (THURSDAY) IS THAT PAKISTAN FORCES HAVE PENETRATED SIX MILES INTO INDIAN TERRITORY IN THE CHAMB SECTOR OF KASHMIR. KASHMIR TROOPS, AIDED BY PAKISTAN FORCES, ARE ALSO REPORTED TO HAVE MADE ADVANCES IN THE JAMMU AREA.

    THE INDIAN PRIME MINISTER, MR SHASTRI, TOLD REPORTERS IN NEW DELHI TODAY THAT DURING FIGHTING IN SOUTHERN KASHMIR YESTERDAY INDIA LOST FOUR AIRCRAFT IN AN ATTACK ON A PAKISTAN INFANTRY BRIGADE SUPPORTED BY SEVENTY TANKS. THIRTEEN TANKS WERE DESTROYED, SAID MR SHASTRI.
