    Background: Moscow 'Torpedo'
    soccer team completed a hat-trick at Sheffield, U. K, November 23 - for the
third time in their British tour the Russians were unable to win a match.

Sheffield Wednesday soccer team outplayed their visitors, scoring 2 goals to 1.

In the other two games of their tour, the Russians were beaten 3-2 by Tottenham
Hotspurs, and drew 4-4 against Newcastle.

Torpedo opened the game well with centre-forward Ivanov and outside-right
Metreveli leading most movements. It was Metreveli who scored the first goal,
    after seven minutes.

Finney, Sheffield Wednesday outside-left, equalised with a 35-yard shot 17
minutes later. Goalkeeper Yashin was beaten again five minutes later - Ellis
    headed in Sheffield's second goal.

During the second half Sheffield had most of the play, and three or four times
the home side forward line hammered several near misses at the Russian goal.

The teams: Moscow Torpedo - Yashin, Kuznetsov, Medakenin, Manoshin, Shustikov,
Voronan, Gusarov, Savuschen, Sergaav, Ivanov, Metreveli.

Sheffield Wednesday - Springett, Johnson, Megson, McAnearney, Swan, Kay, Craig,
