    Heads of State of Afro-Asian nations Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and the United Arab Republic were joined by the "Algerian Provisional Government" leader Ferhat Abbas when they met in Casablanca in January this year to discuss the Congo situation and other problems.

    At the U.A.R. Foreign Ministry in Cairo April 30, Foreign Ministers and Information Ministers from the "Casablanca Powers", gathered for a four-day conference to discuss the establishment of a liaison office to maintain direct permanent links between the countries.

    Also for discussion were proposals for establishing permanent political, economic and cultural committees and a joint African high command.
