King Mohammed V of Morocco arrived in Paris by train from Switzerland July 29th for throat treatment in a Paris clinic. He is due to meet President de Gaulle later. The date of the meeting already postponed will depend on the King's health.
The King's arrival in France from two and a half week's medical treatment in Switzerland, brings nearer the hope, expressed both by Morocco and France, of exploring all possible solutions to help end the Algerian war. The King is well known for his desire to mediate between the Algerian rebels and the French.
A meeting between the King and President de Gaulle is considered most likely to be held after de Gaulle's return next month from his three-week holiday at his country home next Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises in Eastern France.
Accompanying the King on his arrival in Paris were his two sons Crown Prince Mouley Hassan and Prince Mouley Adallah.
