    Guo Yuehua, the Chinese player tipped to win the Mens Singles Title at the conclusion of the current World Tables Championships in Pyongyang. DPR Korea, was in devastating form when his team played DPR Korea i the team championship.

    Faced by Yun Chol-ranked 22nd in the world-Yuehuaran away with the first game 21-9. Then, as the home crowd cheered what appeared to be a second game revival for Yun Chol, the Chinese player b the devastating looping return with the skill that has put him in to the number one position.

    Even the partisan Korean crowd had to applaud as the Chinese player drooped the bell again and again to the table at the end of a high, looping return. In the space of three rallies, the Koran's chances of squaring the game had disappeared and he eventually went down 21-16. With Li Zhenshi giving China a good start with a 21-16, 21-18 win over Cho kong Mo, the trio of wins was completed by the tall Huang Liang who revealed a wide repertoire of stokes and serves to defeat Hong Chol 21-19, 21-11.

    It appeared that the Chinese had decided to snow their true power. Before the game, they refused to accept a korean referee and umpire and the start of the game was then delayed for two hours whilst the players waited for another match to finish and release two European officials.

    With some irony, it was then the Chinese coach who was warned by the Umpire for shouting at the players during the game.

    The huge crowd of 20,000 koreans who had waited patiently for the game to start despite the lack of public announcements as to the reason for the delay, was quickly silenced by this sudden display of Chinese power.

    The korean failed to win a single game in the course of the five match win.

    With three matches played, the crowd began to thin out and many korean left rather than watch their side soundly beaten by the Chinese.
