It appeared that the Chinese had decided to snow their true power. Before the game, they refused to accept a korean referee and umpire and the start of the game was then delayed for two hours whilst the players waited for another match to finish and release two European officials.
With some irony, it was then the Chinese coach who was warned by the Umpire for shouting at the players during the game.
The huge crowd of 20,000 koreans who had waited patiently for the game to start despite the lack of public announcements as to the reason for the delay, was quickly silenced by this sudden display of Chinese power.
The korean failed to win a single game in the course of the five match win.
With three matches played, the crowd began to thin out and many korean left rather than watch their side soundly beaten by the Chinese.
