  • Description

The Beatles's new film "Let It Be" was premiered in London on Wednesday night (20 May).

The film is the third made by the pop-singing quartet and was also given a simultaneous premiere in Liverpool, where the Beatles first sprang to fame.

A large crowd thronged Piccadilly to see the stars arrive but were disappointed when none of the Beatles attended.

Police struggled to control the fans as the guests from the world of show business arrived.

As in their previous two films, "Help" and "A Hard Day's Night", the Beatles act their real-life selves in the new release.
