HIS RECURRING THEME WAS THE DISSATISFACTION OF THE INDIVIDUAL - ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG AND THE WORKERS - WITH MERE TECHNOLOGICAL AND MATERIAL PROGRESS IN A SOCIETY WHICH ALLOWED THEM TOO LITTLE SAY. HE CONDEMNED BOTH THE COMMUNIST AND THE CAPITALIST SOLUTION, THEN PROPOSED HIS OWN, PARTICIPATION, WHICH HE DESCRIBED AS GREATER DIRECT REPRESENTATION OF ALL STUDYING OF WORKING IN THE COUNTY'S UNIVERSITIES AND ENTERPRISES.

HE CLAIMED THAT HE HAD ALWAYS BEEN IN THE FOREFRONT OF THE STRUGGLE FOR PROGRESSIVE CAUSES AND EXPRESSED THE HOPE THAT THE RECENT SHOCKS WOULD OPEN THE EYES OF THOSE WHO HAD HELD BACK FROM SUPPORTING HIM.
