    THE GOVERNOR TOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE ALABAMA STATE CAPITAL OF MONTGOMERY THAT HE WAS INVOKING WHAT HE CALLED THE "SOVEREIGNTY OF THE STATE" IN THIS "LEGAL RESISTANCE AND LEGAL DEFIANCE".

    IN THE FEDERAL COURT IN ALABAMA, JUDGE GROOMS REFUSED TO DELAY THE ADMISSION OF TWO NEGROES TO THE UNIVERSITY.THE TWO MEN, VIVIAN MALONE AND DAVE McGLATHERY OF HUNTSVILLE, ARE DUE TO BE ADMITTED ON 10 JUNE.
