    About 200 runners will take part.The run started with a ceremony at the steps of City Hall in Los Angeles.Mayor Yorty of Los Angeles handed a flaming Olympic torch to Jim Beatty, America's top miler, who ran the first leg.U.S.Senator Philip Hart of Michigan was a guest at the ceremony.

    Los Angeles was host city for the 1932 Olympic games...the last time the Olympics were held in the U.S.
