Background: An advance team of six from the People's Republic of China flew into New York's Kennedy airport on Monday (8 November) to make arrangements for Peking's seating at the United Nations. This film of the arrival was shot by Visnews' New York Bureau.
The Air France roster identified the six as Cao Liang, Lin Chia-Sen Lhia Tsu Chen, Tien Chung Tsien, Hsu Hisin-Li, and Liu Chen-Piao. A Chinese journalist at the airport tentatively identified Cao Liang as a former staff member of the New China News Agency.
