    THE FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER, M. COUVE DE MURVILLE, RETURNED TO MOSCOW TODAY FOR FURTHER TALKS WITH MR. GROMYKO, RUSSIA'S FOREIGN MINISTER. HE FLEW THERE FROM PITSAUNDA, ON THE BLACK SEA, WHERE HE HELD TALKS YESTERDAY WITH PRESIDENT MIKOYAN AND MR. KOSYGIN, THE SOVIET PREMIER.

    YESTERDAY'S TALKS RESULTED IN RUSSIA EXTENDING AN INVITATION TO PRESIDENT DE GAULLE TO VISIT THE SOVIET UNION. HOWEVER, M. DE MURVILLE, WHO IS ON A SIX-DAY VISIT TO RUSSIA, TOLD PRESIDENT MIKOYAN AND MR. KOSYGIN THAT NO DECISION COULD BE TAKEN UNTIL IT IS KNOWN WHETHER PRESIDENT DE GAULLE WILL STAND FOR RE-ELECTION NEXT MONTH.

    DISCUSSION BETWEEN M.DE MURVILLE AND RUSSIAN LEADERS HAVE SO FAR PRODUCED ACCORD ON A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS, INCLUDING NATO AND THE PROPOSED MULTILATERAL NUCLEAR FORCE. COMMENTING ON THE TALKS THUS FAR, MR. KOSYGIN DESCRIBED THEM AS 'A GREAT PLUS' IN SOVIET-FRENCH RELATIONS.
