    A light plane entered in a three-day air show which started in Cleveland today, crashed on its practice run on Thursday.

    Ken Has, the California commercial pilot who was at the controls of the ill-fated ship told out correspondent of his encounter with death.

    Has tells his story over pictures of the actual event.

    SYNOPSIS: The home-made specially designed formula one race planes are the features attraction of the three-day meeting scheduled in Cleveland starting Friday. (July 16).

    Many of the pilots spent Thursday putting the finishing touches on their aircraft. Two were to put on a special preview for the tv cameras. One of the planes, piloted by Californian Ken Has, developed engine trouble soon after take off. Has explained the sequence of events.

    The crash caused extensive damage and knocked out Has from the race line up. Has, a commercial airlines pilot, says he is undecided if he will rebuild the racer or design a new model.
