    Dr. Robert Gardiner, the Ghanaian executive-secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, said in Nairobi, Kenya, on Saturday (September 19) that in trading terms Black Africa was more important to Europe and the rest of the world than South Africa.

    Dr.Gardiner was giving a lecture at University College, Nairobi, on "25 years of the United Nations and Africa". He quoted figures to show the importance to trade with Black Africa to those countries which also trade with South Africa and Rhodesia.

    Mr. Robert Gardner, head of the United Nations economic mission to Africa today addressed a packed gathering at Taifa Hall in University College in Nairobi.
