SYNOPSIS: The President's comments came at the opening of the 13th UDEAC summit....the Central African Customs and Economic Union, in Libreville. The Congo and Cameroun...both members of the Union....were represented by their Heads of State. Emperor Bokassa was also there, representing the fourth member-nation, the Central African empire.
President Bongo told the summit that he deplored the attitude of the rich nations towards the third world countries. He said they refused to pay for ??? materials at a just price...and said that the rich countries only give to rich countries. He called for member states to overcome national pride to work harmoniously for the development of central Africa.
