    Australian Prime Minister Robert Menzies arrived at the White House in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday (24, June) for talks with U.S. President Lyndon Johnson. Mr. Menzies, gravely ill, would pose for photographers for only a few moments.

    He had lunch with Mr. Johnson and with Secretary of State Dean Rusk. In the afternoon he met with Mr. Rusk and with Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. The subject of the talks was not make public.

    Mr. Menzies leaves next week for London.
