Background: When a supermarket collapsed in the South Australian city of Adelaide on Monday (27 September), tons of brick and rubble crashed suddenly through a nearby roof, missing an elderly couple by inches. Pressmen, including the cameraman who shot this spectacular film for Visnews, also had lucky escapes.

The supermarket, which had been cordoned off by police earlier when an inspection revealed structure faults, collapsed with a roar and a police spokesman later said it was a miracle the elderly couple had not been crushed under the debris.
