SOUND EFFECTS. SV Reverand Butterworth speaking:- "This would have been a junkyard or a ruin but for you, & you have come back really home to stand here & know that our life's work would have faded out. But for you makes one feel very humble, Mr. Hope."
SV Bob Hope speaks:- "Thank you, thank you very much. This is Bob go chase me round Camberwell Green and call me the wolf of the Walworth Road Hope. (laughter) I know what I'm talking about to. Telling you it's great to be back in wonderful Clubland, this place has everything. The Reverand Butterworth just showed me around, there's a gymnasium for the strong guys, the canteen for the hungry guys, a Parliament for the brainy guys & the Bob Hope lounge. (laughter) That's for my fans. We didn't go in though, the lock was all rusted up."
SV...It certainly is very gratifying to go thru the place and see some of the new rooms & see a place for a lot of boys & girls to play, this is all I need you know. If this had happened to me when I was a kid I would never have met Crosby.
