Background: More than 1,500 people of various circles in Peking attended a meeting on June 25th to mark the 16th anniversary of the Korean war for the liberation of the Fatherland which falls on June 25th.
Vice-Premier Chen Yi and Vice-Chairmen of the National People's Congress Standing Committee Lin Feng and Liu Ning-yi attended the meeting.
The meeting was addressed by Kang Yong-ho, Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Committee for Afro-Asian Solidarity. He says that U.S. imperialism is the most brutal aggressor of our epoch and the sworn enemy of national liberation and world peace. The Soviet revisionist leading group is an accomplice of U.S. imperialism and a saboteur of the revolutionary movements of the peoples. Only be firmly opposing modern revisionism, he stresses, will it be possible to successfully oppose U.S. imperialism. In order to carry this struggle against U.S. imperialism through to the end, we must resolutely draw a clear-cut line of demarcation between ourselves and the modern revisionists politically, ideologically and organizationally and wage a principled struggle against them.
Pak Se Chang, Korean Ambassador to China says that U.S. imperialism is the chief culprit obstructing the reunification of Korea and the root cause of the miseries and sufferings of the South Korean people today. The Korean people are determined to drive the U.S. aggressors out of South Korea and accomplish their historic task of reunifying their country. Should U.S. imperialism unleash another military adventure in Korea, the aggressors will certainly be met with devastating blows from the united people of Korea.
