    OPPOSITION MEMBERS BARRICADED THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY HALL IN THE SOUTH KOREAN CAPITAL OF SEOUL ON FRIDAY TO BLOCK FORMAL INTRODUCTION OF A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT BILL AIMED AT PAVING THE WAY FOR PRESIDENT CHUNG-HEE PARK'S RE-ELECTION IN 1971. THE AMENDMENT WILL REMOVE AN EXISTING CONSTITUTIONAL BAN ON A THIRD PRESIDENTIAL TERM.

    ABOUT 35 OPPOSITION NEW DEMOCRATIC PARTY ASSEMBLY MEMBERS, LED BY DR. CHIN-O YU, THE PARTY LEADER, PILED UP CHAIRS ON THE SPEAKER'S ROSTRUM AND AT THE ENTRANCE FOR THE SPEAKER SHORTLY BEFORE A CEREMONY WAS TO BE HELD OPENING AN EXTRAORDINARY LEGISLATIVE SESSION.

    RIOT POLICE WERE CALLED IN TO BREAK UP THE DEMONSTRATING OPPOSITION MEMBERS AND A NUMBER OF ARRESTS WERE MADE.
