    THEY SAID INDONESIAN TERRORISTS HAD BURNED THEIR HOMES AND LOOTED ALL THEIR RICE STOCKS AND POULTRY. TWO OF THEIR PEOPLE HAD BEEN KILLED.

    ONCE RESIDENTS OF SARAWAK, THEY ARE NOW BEING CARED AND LOOKED AFTER BY RED CROSS WORKERS AND VILLAGERS OF STASS VILLAGE - WHICH WAS ATTACKED BY INDONESIAN TERRORISTS LAST MONTH.

    MANNED BY A PLATOON OF 40 ROYAL MARINE COMMANDOS, SARAWAK BORDER SCOUTS AND HOME GUARDS, THE VILLAGE IS ABOUT TWO THOUSAND YARDS OF 25 MINUTES WALK TO THE BORDER.

    THE REFUGEES WHO WERE GIVEN RICE AND CLOTHING, SPOKE IN FAVOUR OF MALAYSIA AND PLEDGED THEIR SUPPORT TO DEFEND SARAWAK AND MALAYSIA IN THE EVENT OF ANY ATTACK FROM INDONESIA. THEY ALSO EXPRESSED THEIR EAGERNESS TO JOIN THE MALAYSIA TERRITORIAL ARMY.
