Prince Philip landed at Namao Airport, Alberta, July 21 some six minutes before the Queen leaded in her aircraft. The Duke strolled over the tarmac as her plane landed for the formal greeting by State officials. She carried an umbrella and looked well after her quick recovery from stomach trouble. After further greetings at the airport reception building, the Royal couple left to continue the next stage of their tour to visit Edmonton, the State capital, by the Royal train.
The Queen will return to Britain by air at the end of the tour Aug 1 and not by the yacht 'Britannia' as previously arranged. An announcement said the decision was not connected with the Queen's health: a number of duties had accumulated in London and she was also anxious to see her children.
Her Majesty had to abandon part of the tour because of her indisposition, but the announcement said no further departures from the tour programme was exempted. French newspaper reports that the Queen was expecting another baby has been denied.
The Queen and the Duke will leave Halifax by Comet Four airliner August 1 for London.
