    A COMMITTEE OF SEVEN NATIONS SET UP BY THE ORGANISATION OF AFRICAN UNITY TO INVESTIGATE WAYS AND MEANS OF IMPROVING THE O.A.U'S LIBERATION COMMITTEE BEGAN DELIBERATIONS IN DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA, YESTERDAY (MONDAY 20TH).

    IN ORDER TO REVIVE ENTHUSIASM FOR THE SOUTHERN AFRICA LIBERATION STRUGGLE THE COMMITTEE WILL HEAR REPORTS AND SUGGESTIONS FROM THE FREEDOM MOVEMENTS THEMSELVES, AND ALSO FROM OFFICIALS OF THE LIBERATION COMMITTEE.

    CHAIRMAN OF THE SEVEN-NATION COMMITTEE MR YUSUF SYLLA, WHO IS ALSO SENEGAL'S AMBASSADOR TO ETHIOPIA, HOPES IT WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE NEXT O.A.U. SUMMIT MEETING WHICH IS SCHEDULED TO START IN ADDIS ABABA ON THE FIRST OF SEPTEMBER.

    THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS REPRESENT ALGERIA, THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, ETHIOPIA, KENYA, MOROCCO, SENEGAL, AND SIERRA LEONE.

    THE COMMITTEE WILL SIT FOR THREE DAYS, MOSTLY IN CLOSED SESSION.
