    MR. GHALAB WAS A MEMBER OF THE ASU DELEGATION ACCOMPANYING PRESIDENT SADAT AND WAS INCLUDED IN THE TEAM BOTH AS A JOURNALIST AND BECAUSE HE BELIEVES STRONGLY IN THE SOVIET-EGYPTIAN RELATIONSHIP. HE TOLD MR. GENT THAT ALTHOUGH THERE HAD BEEN A FEW 'SUMMER CLOUDS' OVER THE RELATIONSHIP THAT THESE WERE TRANSIENT IN NATURE AND OF NO GREAT IMPORTANCE BUT THAT THE WESTERN PRESS WERE INCLINED TO MISINTERPRET.
