Background: NARRATION: Sir Patrick Dean, British Ambassador to the United States, in Atlanta, Georgia to inaugurate a British Merchandising Promotion Program, took the opportunity to visit the Lockheed-Georgia Company, where the first of 66 Hercules C-130K aircraft destined for the Royal Air Force, is being readied for a mid-October first flight.

After being greeted by Lockheed Officials Sir Patrick, accompanied by Mr. W.R. Haydon, his personal aide, and Mr. T.C. Sharman, British Consul-General in Atlanta, toured the aircraft....ti be known by the Royal Air Force as the Hercules C. Mark 1.

Over 80 percent of the avionics system in the Hercules C. Mark 1 have been designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom, giving the aircraft a standardization with other aircraft that the RAF operates in a world-wide role. After delivery to the UK in December of this year, the aircraft will be painted in a camouflage color scheme. Further deliveries will continue through 1967 and 1968.
