Background: In Sydney, thousands of people are queuing to see an exhibition of photographs by Lord Snowdon, which opened this week.

And while the photographs no doubt drew much attention and comment at the opening session, the focal point of interest for the admiring crowd was Lord Snowdon himself.

Smiling and relaxed, his mood contrasted with the earlier tension at news conferences when the separation from Princess Margaret was announced.

The exhibition will last three weeks in Sydney before going to Melbourne.

In includes photographs of the famous, the rich, the poor and mentally ill -- an impressive cross-section of life styles and human emotion captured through the lens of his "other self" -- Tony Armstrong Jones, Photographer.

There have been suggestions that Lord Snowdon may live in Sydney -- and answering questions from Australian Broadcasting Commission reporter, Pamela Bornhorst, he said people in Australia "had been very kind and I love it here".
