  • Description

Stockholm papers are already pealing the bells for Sweden's Princess Margaretha and her 26-year-old British sweetheart, former club pianist Robin Douglas-Home.
It was even suggested that a visit arranged by the Princess to a Stockholm institute where she learned dressmaking is for discussion about the design of her wedding dress. But palace officials said: "Things are not that far advanced."
The Stockholm paper "Dagens Nyheter" has quoted Prince Bertil as saying that he had several secret meetings with Mr Douglas-Home in London earlier this month. "I gained a very good impression of him," the Prince was reported as saying.
Throughout the Princess has been guided by the advice of her grandfather, King Gustav. He did not forbid the marriage or urge the Princess to break off her acquaintance with the young Briton. Instead he urged her to wait for a year before deciding whether the romance was serious.
Mr Douglas-Home has now set up in business in the West End of London.
