    At the Presidential Palace in Fort Lamy, Sudan's new Ambassador to Chad, Mr. Abdel Al Sinada, handed in his credentials on Monday(June 8) to President Tombalbaye.

    Speaking in Arabic, the new Ambassador said he was no stranger to Chad, and spoke of the many aspects of co-operation to be developed between Chad and the Sudan, both directly and through the Organisation for African Unity. The two countries share a frontier, and in their northern regions both have large Moslem populations.

    Also referred to in the speeches was the fact that Mr. Sinada was the first Ambassador of the new regime in Sudan. The country recently celebrated the first Anniversary of its Revolutionary Government under Major-General Jafaar El-Nimeiry.
