    1.
Selma story first --- Wilson Baker and Jim Clark emerged very close to each other in Tuesday's Alamaba Primary. They were both seeking the Democratic nomination for Sheriff of Dallas County, the county of which Selma is County seat. Final tally showed neither had a majority because of about 100 votes cast for two minor candidates; therefore there will be a run off. Clark is the present Sheriff of Dallas country, a stauch segregationist "he hears a "NEVER" button, shown in the film. He became the symbol of segregation during the Selma demonstration. Baker is the present Director of Public Safety (Police Chief) of Selma, a racial moderate, who enjoyed the support of the area's negroes. OTHER DETAILS ON SOUNDTRACK.
