BENNETT: "If Dr. King was of another colour, there would not be no hesitation to bring about a national holiday. I say to you, brothers and sisters, we have scouted the nation, black and white, seeking petitions asking to bring about this day. We have had no trouble getting petitions signed. Everyone in America wants to set aside a day for Dr. King. (APPLAUSE Through every town, every village and every hamlet - we are asked how long should we wait. Thank you." (APPLAUSE)
