Margaretha, the Swedish Princess whose eventful courtship with Robin Douglas-Home has lately been headline news in most European capitals, arrived at Torremolinos, Malaga, on 20th.March. In spite of the mood of this Southern Spain resort, sun-burnt by sub-tropical sunshine and refreshingly cooled by the Mediterranean, the Princess remains cold and aloof.
Press men found it increasingly difficult to meet of photograph her. Several enterprising and assiduous camera-men climbed the roof of the villa hoping to snatch a chance of photographing Margaretha. When it was announced that the Princess or one of her retinue was to make an official statement, reporters dashed to the residence and clamoured for more than the routine announcement--- for some indication of the prospects of her current romance.
Her suitor, Robin Douglas-Home, is equally shy of publicity and daily evades camera men and reporters who wait outside his London
home and business office. One of the many rumours flashing through Stockholm is that when Robin returns there in the Spring he will be told whether Princess Sybilla, Margaretha's German-born mother, has put aside her hopes of her daughter marrying one of the European princess on her list of eligible 'blue-bloods'. It is common knowledge that Sybilla would rather Margaretha married a prince from one of the German Royal Houses than a British commoner.
