CU MAHARISHI BEING INTERVIEWED
MAHARISHI: "Meditation in the morning and then meeting me to understand the experience of meditation. An then lunch and then meeting again in the afternoon. And then meeting in the night after their evening meditation. The whole thing will be consolidating their own experience and understanding about the experiences."
REPORTER: "You are explaining them to themselves to some extent?"
MAHARISHI: "Yes, that's it. They experience something and then I just give an expression towards their experience and its allied connections with the practical field of life in different ways. This is what makes a teacher. A very profound teacher then he may speak from the basis of his own experience".
REPORTER: "Are you seeing them altogether as a class?"
MAHARISHI: "In the afternoon between 3 and 4.30 they are meeting altogether and it is necessary because different people have different experiences and all of them should know how many possible experiences there can be and what will be the explanations because once they are out in the public as teachers they have to satisfy different experiences of the people."
REPORTER: "So they are learning from each other as well as from you."
MAHARISHI: "Of course, yes very much so. The world movement has to be cooperating enterprise"
REPORTER: "You have been travelling the world now for many years, you have made something like eight world tours."
MAHARISHI: "Ninth I return this time"
REPORTER: "This was the ninth. You said recently that you were going to retire from public life at the end of this year - is that still your intention ?"
MAHARISHI: "I haven't been able to give a second thought to it so the first thought still stands. In the midst of all these experiences and the world attention and interest in meditation I don't get a moment to think of retiring."
