Background: INTRODUCTION: The former three time World Heavyweight boxing champion, Muhammad ali, is taking his comeback fight against Trevor Berbick of Jamaica next month, very seriously.Described as "fat, foolish, and nearing forty" by his critics, the legendary boxer has been training hard in the Bahamas where the fight will take place on December 2nd.

SYNOPSIS: It is nearly 18 years since Muhammad Ali first won the world heavyweight crown, beating Sonny Liston in six rounds, in 1964.And now, at the age of 39, with three world titles behind him, Muhammad Ali want to make boxing history by winning a fourth crown.The first comeback fight is with the World ranked number seven, trevor Berbick of Jamica.

Ali is determined to make up for the embarrassment of his last contest.He was beaten over every round by the World Boxing council's champion, Larry Holmes.Ali blamed the defeat on taking too many vitamin tablets.It is a 13 months since that humiliation.

The World Boxing Council has withheld a licence form Ali because they are not satisfied he is fit to fight.But Ali will be fighting in the Bahamas not in the United States, and there will be a big purse, win or lose.
