    Ugandan President, Field Marshall Idi Amin, opened the 1975 Organisation of African Unity's (OUA) summit in Kampala on Monday night (28 July) with a warning Rhodesians and South Africans and Zionists.

    In the opening address of the summit, Field Marshall Amin's first as the OAU Chairman, he said that Israel must be expelled from the United Nation and that Rhodesia, South Africa and South-West Africa must be handed over to black majority rule.

    President Amin said if majority rule was not granted in these countries immediately Africa would have to use force.

    He also welcomed the presence of Palestinian Liberation Organisation leader Yasser Arafat who is attending the conference by special invitation.

    The Tuesday session of the summit was adjourned after General Yakubu Gowon received news that he had been ousted from power in Nigeria.
