AZIKIWE: "In defence of my honour, I will do my best to those concerned, that the statement of Michael O. Ani Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission, about me, namely that I did not pay any income tax during 76-77 at all, is absolutely false and unfounded.

This is number one. Two, his statement that I paid tax in arrears in subsequent years, is also misleading and false. His statement that I paid (indistinct) payments is also false, and his statement that I paid er...submitted my return after he'd written to my party is also false."
