SYNOPSIS: Among five new life peers taking their seats in the Lords today was the Lord Fraser, of Lonsdale, formerly Sir Ian Fraser, who was blinded in the first world war. Also introduced into the House were the two remaining life peeresses. They are Baroness Ravensdale of Kedleston and Baroness Elliot of Harwood, seen here with her two sponsors, Lord Glenconner and Lord Wakehurst.

Baroness Elliot is the widow of Mr Walter Elliot. She paused for our cameraman -- and for one of her sponsors: Lord Wakehurst -- as they made their way to the House of Lords for the ceremony.
