  • Description

Christmas for children who celebrate it usually means lots of food, and presents from Santa Claus -- and for a group of children in Nairobi, Kenya, on Friday (December 22), its was no exception. At a party held for them by the hotel company employing their parents they ate, drank, unwrapped their presents -- and watched Santa Claus, in his traditional costume of red with a large white beard, join in the tribal dancing display put on for them.

SYNOPSIS: Christmas is very much the same everywhere it's celebrated. It's usually big occasion for the children -- and for these little ones, at a party in Nairobi, Kenya, on Friday it was no different. There was Santa Claus, of course, and plenty to eat and drink.

But there was one small difference here. for children in other parts of the world don't usually enjoy traditional African tribal dancing with their Christmas parties -- with Father Christmas joining in. For the party organisers -- a hotel company employing the children's parents -- there was the satisfaction of bringing some festive cheer to them.
