Israeli Foreign Minister Abba Eban had an hour-long discussion with the United States Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Kenneth Keating, during which they discussed Middle East issues and details of the visit. The meeting was called at the Ambassador's request.

On the same day, Tuesday (April 30) the Israeli cabinet met in special session to discuss disengagement talks.
Israel's ambassador to the United States, Mr. Simha Dienitz, flew in form Washington to attend the meeting.
