    The Finnish sky jumper Esko Rattionaho won the second day's competition on Saturday (March 16) in the international anniversary competition at planica in Yugoslavia.

    He jumped 161 metres and scored 176.5 points.

    But on both the first and second day's results Walter Steiner of Switzerland is still leading with the total of 354 points from jumps of 166 metres on the first day and 144 on the second. Earlier in a trial run Steiner equalled the world record and even surpassed it with a jump of 177 metres before falling over.

    More than 40,000 spectators watched the jumping held to mark 40 years of Planica ski jumps.

    It was at Planica that the first World Championships in Ski Jumping took place two years ago and the little Yugoslav village has a ski jump which allows the longest jumps in the world.

    Most of the best ski jumpers in the wold are taking part including jumpers from West and East Germany, the Soviet Union, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, U.S.A., Canada and Japan.
