  • Description

Britain's opposition Labour Party today registered a massive vote against entry to the European Common Market on present agreed terms. The vote, at the opening of the party's annual conference on Monday (October 4), mean that the mass of the party has decided to back their leadership's official policy, which totally rejects the terms already accepted by the present Conservative Government.

Two speakers in the debate were former cabinet Minister Mr. James Callaghan who spoke against entry, and Labour peer Lord George-Brown, who disagreed. This film covers the relevant points to both speeches.
