Mr. Hafez Ismail, National Security adviser to President Sadat of Egypt, arrived in London on Sunday (18 Feb) for talks with the British government about the Middle East dispute.
The visit is part of a new Egyptian initiative to settle the deadlock.
Mr. Ismail has already been to Moscow and is due in Washington next Friday for similar talks.
He will meet the U.S. Secretary of State, William Rogers, who told a news conference last week that the U.S. had been in contact with Soviet and Egyptian officials about Middle East peace proposals.
