The soundtrack appears to have been edited for British audiences, but the footage is shot from on-board by Norman Alley of Universal News. Francis Pike in Hirohito's War (2015, Bloomsbury) at page 96 says this was the first-ever film of an aerial bombardment, and Roosevelt asked for 20 seconds of footage to be removed before it was aired in Los Angeles on 31st December 1937, some time after the incident and the diplomatic repercussions.
