Background: Just before the "Gewerbe bank" in Zurich was to close at noon for lunch, a gunman carrying an empty cardboard box walked up to the teller, Walter Scheukel, shot him in the stomach, then dashed into the bank's inner office. There the gunman cashed a clerk with the butt of his pistol. Then he tried to open the strong box. The safe was closed. Foiled by the locks, the gunman rushed out into the street again, his gun in his hand, ready to shoot. Pursued by a bank official and growing crowd of people who had heard the shot, the gunman sprinted toward the narrow streets of the old city above the Limmat river. Several hundred feet away from the bank, a taxi-driver, Arthur Maag, tackled the fleeing gunman from the side. The gunman fired, hitting the taxi-driver in the gall. The driver was dead after he had said: my stomach. Gustav Angstmann, a 25 year old cook kept on persueing. He raced after the gunman and pursued him for several hundred yards up and down the winding streets of the hillside section of the city. Coming down to the river through a very narrow street, the gunman realised he could not escaped. He turned and aimed his pistol at Angstmann. The pistol didn't go off, Angstmann ran behind the corner off a house and shortly afterwards, fearlessly, ran after him again, attacked him from the back, put his hand on his out of the gunmans hand, so that Angstman asked the people to help him. Finally Angstmann was able to turn Browns hand so that the pistol fell. Police was there immediately.

Donald Brown is now in the Police house of Zurich where he is being questioned. As soon as he is being photographed he defies his police questioners. It is therefore impossibly for newspeople to take pictures, in order not to make the questioning more difficult. The pills he carried with him are being examinated by the police.
