First heads of state and heads of delegations representing their heads of government on heads of state have started arriving in Colombo. Prime Minister Pedro Pyres of Cape Verde was the first to set foot in Colombo and be welcomed by Premier Mrs. Bandaranaike. He was followed by the representatives of the four more African heads of state/government Equatorial Guinea would be represented by Foreign Minister Nguema Esone Nohoma, Senegal by Foreign Minister Asanee Seck, Cameroon by Foreign Minister Jean Keutcha, and Mali by Foreign Minister Col Charles Cissokhe. All the five together took salute, then inspected Guard of Honour and were led by Premier Bandaranaike to the Terminal Building. Another arrival as head of delegation to the Summit was from Malta Dr. J. Cessar who was welcomed by the Minister For Shipping and Transport Mr. Kalugalle. He was also given ceremonial welcome due to the head of a state/government.
