    The General-Secretary of Czechoslovakian Communist Party, Gustav Husak, visited Moscow for a few hours on Monday (3 March) on what was described as a routine consultation.

    The Soviet Communist Party Chief, Leonid Brezhnev, met him at the airport and they later discussed issues concerning their parties and the relationship between the tow countries.

    Soviet television reported that the two leaders also talked about international problems "paying special attention to stepping up the struggle for peace and security of nations."
    Mr husak, who left for home on the same day, was last in Moscow last summer, when he met Mr Brezhnev in August for talks in the Crimea.
