A grand rally attended by over 100 thousand Djakarta citizens took place at the Bung Karno Sports Stadium on April 19th to celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Bandung Conference. A huge streamer hanging across the stadium reads: Smash Imperialism and Old and Neo-Colonialism With The Bandung Spirit!
President Sukarno and distinguished guest from over 30 Asian and African countries were present.

Colourful pictures and slogans shaped by more than 20 thousand young people holding cardboard sheets symbolized their determination to fight for thorough liberation, independence and to defeat imperialism and old and neo-colonialism.

Ghana's foreign minister, Botiso and foreign minister Hazem Nusseibes of Jordon addressed the rally.

President Sukarno called on the rally to unite and oppose imperialism and old and neo-colonialism.

Before the rally ended, there was a parade of the army, navy, air force, police and volunteer forces.
